MAMA MIRRIBELLE'S HOME MOVIES showing on BBC from 19 March  

Lester has written all the music - including title song, songs and incidental music, for this major new US and UK kids series.

Perfect for three to five-year-olds, Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies celebrates the comedy, drama and gentle wisdom of the animal kingdom through a vibrant blend of animation and live action clips extracted from thousands of hours of the BBC's Natural History Unit and the National Geographic's outstanding archives.

Mama Mirabelle - voiced by Floella Benjamin in the UK and Vanessa Williams in the US - is a sassy, soulful elephant living in the African Savannah. She cares for and plays with her son Max and his friends including Bo the cheetah, Karla the zebra and monkeys Kip, Flip and Chip. Mama Mirabelle has travelled the globe filming all the animals she's encountered and, with a loud trumpet, she calls them from every corner of the planet to the Savannah for her Movie Time when they gather to share their secrets and adventures.
HORRID HENRY launched on ITV  

The first of 52 episodes of Horrid Henry was broadcast on ITV on 31 October. Based on the international best selling books by Francesca Simon these animations are proving a huge hit with 8-10 year olds and parents alike! Lester has written featured music and songs for each of the 10 minute shows which are also shown on the freeview/cable chanel CITV.
ME TOO! hit BBC 2 pre-school series  
From the makers of Balamory comes Me Too!, a brand new drama series for pre-schoolers set in the fictional city of Riverseafingal. Lester's extensive musical contribution includes the theme tune and songs.

Me Too! revolves around the lives of nine main adult characters in their workplace - including a teacher, doctor, market stallholder, cleaner on the buses, buffet car attendant, nurse and a taxi driver - with the contrasting daily adventures of their pre-school child at play with Granny Murray. 		 
PAZ GOES GLOBAL  

In Spring 2006 Paz comes to Europe with CITV (UK Freeview channel no.75) broadcasting 4 shows each week day and 2 at the weekends. Nickelodeon in the Netherlands will start airing the series on both their digital and open channel. Nickelodeon Germany already has included Paz in it’s daily line-up.

Paz is alreay broadcast in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Netherlands & Belgium and the US. Additionally, Paz is to be programmed for broadcasting in Korea!
PAZ NOMINATED FOR EMMY AWARD 2006  

For the second time Paz is nominated for the Daytime Emmy! Again the series received a nomination in the category Outstanding Pre-School Children's Television Series 2005/06.

FULLY ORCHESTRATED FILM TRAILERS
Working closely with London Creative and United International Pictures Lester has also produced radio trailers for feature films, creating dramatic orchestrations with different big screen feels of each feature. Current list of credits includes Team America, The Interpreter and The League Of Gentlemen's Apocalypse.
BAA MUSIC NOMINATION FOR LEADING U.S.A. KIDS SERIES - PAZ
2002 saw the start of a fruitful collaboration with the USA channel Discovery Kids to compose music for the pre-school TV series Ready Set Learn featuring Paz the Penguin. From 2002 - 2004 Lester worked on 80 eight minute shows with animation by King Rollo Films and live action by Open Mind Productions. This was a huge undertaking requiring 6 minutes of scored music per episode.
Lester was nominated for the best music category in the 2004 British Animation Awards for the Paz episode “Things Change” (view extracts from this episode). Ready Set Learn was also nominated for an EMMY award for outstanding pre-school show 2005. First broadcast in January 2003 on Discovery Kids and The Learning Channel, Ready Set Learn is aired daily from 6am - noon with 12 Paz episodes each morning. More about Paz.
BBC KIDS PROGRAMMES - FIMBLES & ROLY MO SHOW
While working on Paz Lester was also commissioned by Novel Entertainment to write for their new BBC pre-school show Fimbles (24 episodes) and soon after that completed 26 episodes of The Roly Mo show. Lester also writes for various Nick Junior shows for Nickelodeon.

Dreamscape's 26 classical mixes for the new international TV production Classical Destinations is currently airing in Australia. Re-broadcast work includes the documentary D Day, the shortest Day (titles & incidental music) on UK’s The History Channel, and world-wide repeats of the Ruth Rendell Mystery Means Of Evil (classical incidental scoring), the award winning film Enemy my Friend (titles & incidental music) and the animation series Urmel in France, Germany and other countries.
IN THE STUDIO
To meet latest commercial standards and to fulfil Lester’s long held dream, the Dreamscape studio near Oxford Street has recently seen some major changes including the installation of a new computer network with the world’s most advanced and realistic orchestral instrument archive. This library (controlled by three dedicated computers) allows Lester to realise rich and complex orchestrations and produce ultra real music tracks with the sound and quality of the world’s most renowned orchestras. The new set-up also allows production in full 5:1 surround and at Super Audio levels.
